Prospera 1.0 concludes and the Australia-Indonesia Economic Partnership continues

Thank you to our partners for eight years of collaboration (2018-2026)

The current phase of Prospera will conclude, as planned, at the end of February 2026.

Australia remains a committed partner to Indonesia in its growth and reform agenda, and will continue to collaborate through the next phase of the Program, which will begin in early 2026.

The next phase will continue its flexible and responsive approach, close collaboration with Australian Public Service partners and Indonesian counterparts, and strong partnerships among Australian and Indonesian government agencies.

Collaboration with all partners – including Indonesian and Australian government agencies – was instrumental in Prospera's successes and in achieving meaningful outcomes for the people of Indonesia by supporting strong, sustainable and inclusive economic growth.

A partnership for prosperity

Prospera built on more than two decades of Australian Government support and implemented important elements of the Indonesia-Australia Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement.

We worked with 25 Indonesian government agencies, providing them with evidence on which to base policy to support private-sector development, safeguard macroeconomic stability and improve government performance.

Our collaborations were framed by Indonesian Government priorities and the need to adapt to mega trends like climate change and rapid technological advancement. Increasing inclusion, apart from being a social imperative, was necessary to drive productivity and economic growth.

Prospera brought together highly experienced advisers with extensive knowledge of Indonesia, those with experience in emerging markets, and partnerships with Australian Government agencies.
